Laila Jenkins-Perez is the new ASCEND Sunset Warriors (ASW) After-School Program Director, bringing 20 years of experience in the Bay Area after-school community. She was a founder of the award-winning Project YIELD at Cole School, and was the site coordinator for the Prescott Elementary After-School Enrichment program in West Oakland for 8 years. As an artist, she brings a passion for cultivating the power of art and creativity among youth, schools, and communities.
