César A. Preciado-Cruz (teolol) has been an educator for the last 14 years and he currently oversees the Project Phoenix Academic Program at Urban Promise Academy. He is a Mexican immigrant from Jalisco. In the past César opened up an ENDdependent Freedom School in Richmond, CA called “Making Changes.” He has received the Peacemaker of the Year award from the California State Assembly and the Outstanding Commitment to Justice Award from Pacifica Radio. He is the author of a volume of poetry and short stories entitled Revenge of the Illegal Alien: A Mexican Takes on the Empire.
